1. Who we are

compoundjournal.com is published by The Compound Journal, an independent publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting as agent for any pharmaceutical manufacturer, compounding pharmacy, testing laboratory, distributor or vendor named in its pages.

2. Nothing here is advice

The content of this site is journalism. It is not medical, pharmaceutical, legal, regulatory, financial or investment advice, and it does not create a professional relationship of any kind. Nothing on this site should be relied upon in place of advice from a suitably qualified professional who has considered your particular circumstances. Compounds described as being for research use only are not approved for human use in any jurisdiction, and nothing here should be read as suggesting otherwise.

3. What you may do with our content

• Read, print and share it for personal, educational, clinical-reference or research purposes, freely.
• Quote it — reasonable extracts, with the publication named and, online, a link to the piece quoted.
• Cite it in academic or professional work, using the byline, headline, publication name and date shown on the page.
• Index and analyse it, including by automated means, subject to our robots.txt.

You may not republish substantial portions of the Journal’s content as your own, present it without attribution, use it to imply endorsement of a product or company, or incorporate it into marketing material for anything.

4. Third-party links

Outbound links are limited to labelled advertising units and the storefront link on each vendor dossier, which is marked nofollow and sponsored and is paid for by nobody. We do not control the sites they lead to and we are not responsible for their content, their conduct, or anything you may buy from them. A link is not a recommendation and is not a statement about the quality, safety or legality of anything.

5. Accuracy, and its limits

We take considerable trouble over accuracy — see our standards page for exactly how much — and we still get things wrong, which is why we publish a corrections log. The site is provided on an "as is" basis. We do not warrant that it is complete, current or error-free, and analytical results, prices, regulatory positions and availability described here may have changed since publication. Figures are accurate as at the date shown on the piece.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Compound Journal, its contributors and its editors are not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise — arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything published on this site. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability which cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. No accounts, no transactions

This site holds no user accounts, processes no payments, sells no products and takes no orders. If a page appears to offer you something for sale, it is either a labelled advertisement for a third party or it is not us.

8. Changes

These terms may be revised. Material changes will be dated on this page and noted in an editor’s letter. Continued use of the site after a revision constitutes acceptance of it.
