SGN is not primarily a peptide company. It is a broad life-sciences supplier — oligonucleotides, enzymes, reagents, sequencing services — that also makes peptides, and the difference in institutional maturity between it and most of this directory is visible in everything except the peptide certificates.

The record
Eight independent purity determinations, mean 97.9%, range 96.8–99.0%. Consistent. The certificates are template documents from a large organisation: a method code rather than a method, a specification rather than a result range, and a QA signature block. Technically complete, practically uninformative unless you can look up the method code, which we could not.
Where SGN is clearly ahead is process discipline. Order confirmations, dispatch notes, invoices and certificates all carry the same document numbers and cross-reference correctly, on 8 of 8 orders. Nothing was ever missing. Nothing had to be chased. That sounds unremarkable until you have chased paperwork from six other suppliers in the same quarter.
The 2004 incorporation is documented, the company has a published patent portfolio and a physical campus, and it is the one entity in this directory whose existence and scale nobody disputes.

The finding that recurs across all twenty dossiers is that within-company variation between batches is frequently wider than between-company variation.
